Community Resources

Pequaywan Township is served by a number of citizen-run groups in the area.

  • The Pequaywan Lake Volunteer Fire Department, in conjunction with other area fire departments, provides fire defense and first-responder services to the community.
  • The Pequaywan Lakes Association provides opportunities for members to learn about area history, environmental issues and events going on in the community.
  • Recycling services are available at the Northstar Town Hall on Route 44. Hours are 9:00 a.m. – Noon on Saturdays.
  • The Cloquet Valley Internet Initiative (CVII) is working to bring true, high-speed Internet service to Pequaywan Township and the surrounding area. Internet service is currently provided through Frontier Communications. A somewhat faster, fixed- wireless service is expected to be installed in 2015 by Coop Light & Power.
